The Cuvée without added sulfur

Family estate located on the clay-limestone slopes of Castelviel, on one of the highest points of the Gironde. This estate has been certified in organic farming since 2011.

“Le Fruit de Chibaou” is the story of a bias! Make a wine without added sulfur on the best terroir of the Domaine, the “Les Étoiles” plot, which offers us a rare panorama from the top of the town.

Vineyard

About thirty years old, this plot has the particularity of having an exposure conducive to over-maturity!

It is very steep and windy, located on one of the highest points in the department. This microclimate thus makes it possible to achieve a very high concentration of wine each year.

Vinification

Mechanical harvest, sorting, vinification in stainless steel vats, fermentation at low temperature, long maceration, aging in concrete vats.

Vinified without added sulfur, the Fruit de Grenet receives great attention until it is bottled. This technical choice does not allow short and controlled fermentations, so it is necessary to constantly monitor, through tasting, the development of this demanding and complex fermentation.

Notes de dégustation

Sustained color. Complex and intense nose with aromas of candied fruit, fruit brandy with a hint of coconut. Round attack, rich and powerful wine, balanced structure and very good length in the mouth. Pleasant wine, greedy today, with a minimum aging potential of 5 years.
